Join us for Wednesday night Bible Study as Bruce Smith Jr. walks us through Pure/Biblical Christianity.

Bible Study is conducted as relaxed classroom oriented setting that is more conducive to open discussion of the Bible. It allows us to take a closer look at Scripture in order to understand what Christians believe, why we believe it, how to defend what we believe, and how to refute false beliefs in an effort to effectively save the lost.

These more personal sessions provide the opportunity to ask questions and have open and honest dialogue as well.

Our Beliefs

Our beliefs at Breath of Life Ministries are simple:

We believe the Bible to be the only infallible Word of God. We believe in the Triune God of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; these three being one. We believe that God is the creator of all, that Jesus is the only begotten of the Father, and Savior of man, and that the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father through the Son to bring new birth to all who believe and receive the gift of Christ.

We believe that the church universal is the body of Christ and the local church is designed by God for the development, training and fellowship of believers. We believe in the rapture of the church, the second coming of Christ, the eternal judgment of God and the new heaven and the new earth where believers will live forever with God.

God

God the Father is the Creator of all things, the universe and all therein. He is the Author of all life. He has unconditional love for man: His creation. He sent his Son into the world to pay for the penalty of sin in order to redeem man back to himself.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the only begotten of the Father, and Savior of man. He is all God and all man simultaneously. Jesus Christ took our place, bore our sins, and was crucified as the ultimate sacrifice paying the penalty for sin. He was resurrected on the third day after His death, and is currently seated at the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf. He is also living in the hearts of all who receive Him as Savior and Lord. Jesus will come again in the clouds to rapture his church from the earth.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father through the Son to bring new birth to all who believe and receive the gift of Christ. He is our personal helper and our comforter. He leads us, guides us, teaches us, and reminds us of all that Jesus has said. “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

The Bible

Marriage and Sexuality

We believe God’s design and definitions for biological sex/gender, marriage, sexuality, and family are sacred (holy, natural, and healthy) and cannot be redefined or altered without corrupting God’s plan and purpose in each of these areas. Therefore, according to Scripture the following statements, while counter-cultural, are undeniably true:

• Gender is binary. There are only two genders: male and female. (Gen 1:27, Mat 19:4)
  While gender dysphoria is a real condition, the solution is found in Jesus Christ, not in “transitioning”.
• Marriage is an exclusive holy union between one man and one woman joined together as husband and wife by God for life. (Mat 19:5)
• Sex is a holy experience reserved for a husband and his wife alone. Anything outside of this (premarital, extramarital, homosexual sex) is sin and must be abstained from. (Mat 19:5-6, Heb 13:4, 1 Co 6:9)
• Family according to Scripture includes a married couple (husband and wife) and their children. (Eph 6:1-4)

Race

There is no such thing as different “races” in humans. The human race is the only race. Mankind was created in God’s image. It was man who invented the concept of different “races” to divide people and create a hierarchy of superior and inferior races. The entire concept of different “races” is not based in Scripture or on genetics but is entirely arbitrary. Further, in Christ we are all one, so instead of following the world’s pattern of division and superiority/inferiority based on skin color, Christians focus on hearts and our unity in Christ despite the color of our skin. (Gal 3:28, Acts 17:26-28)

“Reproductive Rights”

God is the Author of life. Life begins at conception, and every life is inherently valuable and was created by God through a mother and father for a purpose. Murder is sin and murdering the unborn (aka abortion) for any reason is sin. According to Scripture, just as every husband and wife have the right to reproduce, every unborn child has a divine right to life! Therefore, there is never an acceptable reason to murder the unborn. None of us have the right to take the life that God has given. (Proverbs 6:16-17)

Our Purpose & Vision

Our church is primarily a spiritual school that helps people develop their relationship with God through:

• The teaching of the Word
• The fellowship of believers
• The development of our divine character

Breath of Life Ministries is a nondenominational Bible teaching church. We ensure that in all areas of ministry, our focus remains on the most important thing: the Word of God. Our goal is to accurately interpret and communicate God’s Word thereby having a positive eternal impact on everyone in attendance.

Breath of Life Purpose To provide a safe place where people can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Breath of Life Vision To be a New Testament type church that:

• Provides healing of the spirit, soul, and body
• Prepares God’s people for effective corporate and personal ministry
• Shows the world a glimpse of the divine through the way we live our lives

To provide spiritually mature disciple makers in this generation and in the generations to come.

Our Pastor

I am privileged and honored to be the pastor of Breath of Life Ministries. This church is the closest to the New Testament church found in the Book of Acts, that I have ever been a part of. Although there is no perfect local church on planet earth, I have seen and experienced the hand of God on this fellowship unlike any other I have been a part of. If you are in our area of the country, I would like to personally invite you to join us for some of the most wonderful fellowship and practical teaching of God’s word available today. Our goal, as a church, is to help people find, understand, and know this wonderful God we serve and love.
